THE VULTURE IS TRULY A PATIENT BIRD

By: Agosu 'Tayo At this rate, we are back in the Stone age where power is equal to right, where impunity reign supreme, where human life is Brutish and short. An age where absolute power is truly corrupting absolutely. A state in human existence where the motto is "All man for himself and God for us all". Shameful to realize that the rule of Law we religiously proclaim isn't in force anywhere. Worrisome is the realization that government cannot address the agitations of the governed. It is a clear indication that we are yet to and probably may not advance in our system of governance. Jungle defines this place! Where is that civilization ? We have seen deliberations and dialogues on matters like this in "Organized" climes. This is a global let down this generation may not recover from even at this stage of our national existence. A lot of questions will never get answers. Generation to come will have so much puzzles to grapple with. Posterity will cast

The Emergence of API in Africa, why Nigeria is blazing the Trail

By: Agosu Omoleye Long before the business landscape took a dramatic turn and processes became more defined and organized through modern innovations pervading the tech space, the word "fintech" or API rarely makes it into random business conversations. There was a total reliance on the traditional business models which is often characterized by its shortcoming of time wastages, unnecessary bureaucracy, and general sloppiness in the business operations. Technological awareness is spreading across the African continent in this new business dispensation. The global business climate is already feeling the impacts of tech startups across the African ecosystem with their innovative ideas. As we celebrate the gains of tech advancement in the continent, some pundits are of the opinion that the API fintech is the next ground to break for tech players across Africa. The exploits of Onekiosk, kobo360, ComX, Paylink, and remita amongst other platforms in the digital finance space are in

Digital Shift: Identifying the average and Celebrating the exeptional.

By: Agosu Omoleye Credits: Ventureburn I n the business arena, the happenings of the past year has actually drawn a line of distinction between intentional business owners and the average Joe typically paying lip service to trendy terms like agile, flexible, pivot, and – the now cringe-worthy “new normal”.   Certainly 2020 was an interestingly tough year,  but the optimists among us realised early on that the COVID-19 pandemic and associated lockdowns should be viewed as the ultimate opportunity to accelerate and leverage digital transformation. Increasingly, a digital strategy is fast becoming the only strategy. The covid impact  has also influenced just about every single one of our expectations around digital possibilities, with our recent learnings prompting us to think very differently about our strategic planning for 2021 and beyond.  Data remains a top priority in nearly every type of organisation. Importantly, it’s not a trend as much as an element that is fundamental to a futu

THE SHIFT IN TECHNOLOGICAL PARADIGM AND THE NIGERIAN REALITIES

By: Omoleye Technology is a veritable tool to achieve deliberate, planned and sustainable developmental goals. It is the bedrock upon which every meaningful growth is built. The development of any geographical place is directly proportional to their efforts at improving their technologies  and applying same to their everyday life. It therefore can be summed up as a scientific knowledge for practical day to day purpose which is rooted in applied science. The first world nations of the world realized early enough, the importance of technology and its inherent benefits which is the reason why they are moving in leaps and bounds today. The Chinese and the Americans of today have invested a lot in technology and capacity building which translates into the success stories we see and hear from them. Over a couple of decades ago, the backward state of the Nigerian Technological involvement was responsible for most of the economic problems. The administrative processes took a lot of productive

As part of efforts to mitigate the effect of the pandemic, the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, says the Federal Government, is in the process of acquiring a 750 million dollar loan, from the world bank to help states recover from the pandemic effects. This loan according to her is to stimulate the local economy and support vulnerable household consumption.
