Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa stated this in a tweet on Tuesday. “Recall this viral video? The girls have been located, rescued and moved to another location by the Nigerian mission in Lebanon. They will return along with about 150 others awaiting evacuation from Lebanon,” she wrote. The Journalists International Forum for Migration (JIFORM) had over the weekend appealed to the Federal Government for rescue on behalf of the trafficked women numbering about 30. By: Agosu Omoleye Justice Jude Okeke of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court, Abuja is dead. He died at the age of 64, at the National Hospital in Abuja. Until his death Justice Okeke was in the ninth position in the hierarchy of the FCT High Court judges in Nigeria  Okeke hailed from Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State and was called to Bar in 1985. He complained of chest pain a few days ago before his condition worsened, according to a family source. The legal luminary was in active private practice of law until he was appointed as a Judge in the FCT High Court in 2007.

By: Agosu Omoleye President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the payment of fees and stipends of stranded scholarship students of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) studying abroad. In a statement signed by the NDDC Director, Corporate Affairs, Charles Odili, said Buhari conveyed the directive to the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, following the protest of the students. Odili said the students would be paid by the end of the week explaining that the delay was caused by the sudden death of Chief Ibanga Etang, the then Acting Executive Director, Finance and Administration, EDFA, of the Commission in May. The Federal Government has launched the reviewed sixth Broadcasting Code of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC). The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, while unveiling the document on Tuesday at an event in Lagos revealed that the government has raised the fine for hate speech from N500,000 to N5 million. He further explained that the code was reviewed in line with the directive of the President for an inquiry into the regulatory role of the NBC in the wake of the 2019 general elections.
