Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the former governor of oyo state state and National Deputy Chairman for the All Progressive People's Congress (APC) is very much alive says his medua aide.
Reacting to the death rumour making rounds in a Facebook post on Thursday night, Bolaji Tunji enjoined people to pray for Ajimobi's speedy recovery and disregard the death rumours.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state's spokesperson Salihu Yakasa also dismissed the rumour in his reaction via his Twitter handle saying "Our in-law AA Ajimobi is not dead please. Kindly disregard the rumours. He is recovering and we pray that the Almighty Allah will keep him and prolong his life. Amin. It will be recalled that governor Ganduje's daughter married the former governor of Oyo state's son.
In her own reaction to the news, Fatima Ganduje-Ajimobi in a tweet said "Thank you all for all the messages but our father is still alive, Alhamdulilah. When it is our time we will all die so wait first..."
Quite a lot of buzz is being created on the social space since the news broke but Ad-diction Media Concepts can only confirm as at publishing time that the former senator and governor is in a critical condition which necessitated his being taken to a Lagos based Hospital where he has been on life support for some days.
It is beleived that he is battling a critical stage of Covid-19 because of underlying medical conditions.
