PROF. EDEOGA CELEBRATES NWODO AT 70

Former Vice-Chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, MOUAU, Professor Hilary Edeoga, has felicitated the former Governor of Enugu State, Dr. R Okwesirieze Nwodo.

Edeoga in a statement, described the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as a quintessential leader and accomplished Nigerian.

According to the former VC, Nwodo’s legendary contributions to the development of Enugu State and Nigeria in general in different spheres of life will ever be appreciated by posterity.

The former Commissioner of Agriculture, Enugu State prayed God to shower Dr. Nwodo with more strength and wisdom for more accomplishments in his diamond age.

Wishing him long and peaceful life, Edeoga urged the younger generation to emulate the leadership acumen, patriotism and enterprising spirit of the elder statesman.

DRAMA AS NDDC WALKS OUT ON LAWMAKERS

The Commission on Thursday refused to make presentations before the House Committee on NDDC. According to the acting managing director of the NDDC, Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei, the Commission cannot partake an investigative hearing which is being presided over by the chairman of the committee who has been accused by the NDDC of hijacking the Commission’s projects. Professor Pondei was of the opinion that the NDDC will not get a fair hearing. Following the NDDC’s action, the committee resolved to issue a warrant of arrest compelling Professor Ponder to appear before the lawmakers and make a proper submission. DISREGARD DEATH RUMOURS SAYS AJIMOBI'S MEDIA AIDE

Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the former governor of oyo state state and National Deputy Chairman for the All Progressive People's Congress (APC) is very much alive says his medua aide. Reacting to the death rumour making rounds in a Facebook post on Thursday night, Bolaji Tunji enjoined people to pray for Ajimobi's speedy recovery and disregard the death rumours.
